I followed this beautiful Great Blue Heron in breeding plumage as it fished a small pond near my home in S. Fort Myers, FL, taking advantage of a windy day and post-sunset light (causing the pronounced ripples) and the bird’s sudden thrust (or thirst!) to make this image.
